Teddy Swims at The Wiltern

Jaten Dimsdale, aka Teddy Swims, is now 30 years old, and with a life full of music and theater experience, the man has become a huge sensation in music. With a powerful voice and an energetic charm, he originally attracted fans to his music by covering popular songs on YouTube.

His popularity grew, and his subscribers on YouTube currently sit (at the time of writing) at over 2.5 million. With millions of views across his videos, fans often comment that his covers are better than even the originals.

He came from a family of football fans but discovered his love of music when a teacher suggested that he sign up for a musical theater class in high school. There he would fall in love with music, performing a variety of musicals and plays. Swim's influences come mainly from the soul genre, which he was introduced to by his father at a very young age, and include Marvin Gaye, Al Green, and Stevie Wonder.

Initially, Swims would work with several Atlanta-based bands, and in early 2019, he impressed Tyler Carter to the point that he was invited to tour with him. During this time, he adopted the name Teddy owing to his size and Swims, the internet acronym, which stands for "someone who isn't me."

In the middle of June, he released his first YouTube cover of Michael Jackson's "Rock With You" and would continue posting several other covers, including hits from Lewis Capaldi, Amy Winehouse, Shania Twain, and H.E.R., showing off his ability to sing almost any genre.

In January 2020, Swims released his debut single and followed it with three EPs: "Unlearning" in 2021, "Tough Love" in 2022, and "Sleep is Exhausting" in 2022. Now he is bringing fans his brand new tour, which is shaping up to be one of this year's hottest events. All of the real fans are going to be there, and you have to get yourself there too.

Grabbing your tickets right now is a must, so don't delay! Get them on this website right now before they sell out.
