Hailing from South Korea, one of the world's hottest R&B and Hip-hop icons across the world is heading to North America. COLDE is set to kick off his highly anticipated BLUEPRINT NORTH AMERICAN TOUR 2024. With a new LP and single album up his sleeve, the man is set to take his big hits, fan favorites, and new anthems to the stage.

Colde first came into the scene back in 2016 as part of the indie duo "offonoff". By 2018, he launched his solo project "Wave", and launched his own music label "Wavy". He intends to make ripples through waves of new and distinct music. Driven by his passion for the R&B genre, his music transcends what we commonly know from South Korea. Offering fresh and sick beats, more and more fans have started to ride the wave.

With a desire to take charge of his own music, steering away from bigger outside powers, ehem, labels... Colde didn't wait long to put matters in his own hands. In a conversation with The Korea Herald, he shared how they were simply artists happy to share a passion for making music. "But this happiness was crashed not by ourselves, but outside powers, a bigger system, like our labels, for example. This was when I developed the spirit of resistance against such systems," he said.

In his new album "Love Part 2", Colde invites his friends - BTS' RM, EXO's Baekhyun, and AKMU's Lee Chanhyuk to collaborate on some tracks. His song "Don’t Ever Say Love Me" with RM tackles battling heartbreak and resentment, taking turns singing out all the hurt. In "Colde's blue room", RM reveals that they've been friends since 2016, and began working on music together since then. They reveal that the track has been in the works for over two years, co-writing the song based on their shared experiences with love turned hatred.

About his single "When Dawn Comes Again" with Baekhyun, Colde shares that the track was first written in 2019, inspired by thoughts that come attacking at dawn. "Many find their minds become filled up with all kinds of thoughts at dawn, especially complex feelings of bygone relationships and faded emotions," he told The Korea Herald. "This song was made to resonate with those who become nostalgic at the midst of dawn."

As an artist, Colde is on his pursuit of staying unconventional, creating music unique to who he is. Going against expectations and dictations of other powers, he's got what it takes to keep his sonic power to his own hands.

On a mission to create new waves in the industry, COLDE is definitely a gem to watch out for. Don't miss out on his BLUEPRINT NORTH AMERICAN TOUR live at The Wiltern on September 14, 2024. Book your tickets now!
