If you have nothing planned for Saturday, September 12th, mark that date and night in your calendar because on that night, the legendary Japanese jazz fusion group from Tokyo - Casiopea will be in Los Angeles, bringing their CITY POP WAVES: CASIOPEA Special Live 2026 trek to The Wiltern for extra-special back-to-back nights. The event will be presented by Live Nation and the doors will open at 7:00 PM for a night of live music that will be a truly unique blend of city pop and complex jazz arrangements by these legendary Japanese musicians.

About Casiopea

In these live performances, they will be playing songs from their last two albums, "Mint Jams" and "Make Up City", as well as some songs from their 1979 debut, which are the root of the complex jazz fusion sound that Japanese music has to offer. As part of the "Today for Tomorrow" phase of the "Today for Tomorrow" era of the current P4 line up of Casiopea, this legendary Japanese jazz fusion band is at the pinnacle of their long-standing career and is bringing their unique sound to a whole new generation of fans all over the world.

Casiopea has played over 50 albums of of Japanese Jazz Fusion over the years, and they've become one of the most legendary names in city pop for any decades, down to this day. With "ear friendly" melodies up their sleeves, their music never fails to captivate the listener time and time again. Recently, they've been gaining recognition from all corners of the globe from a whole new generation of fans that are constantly tuning into the bands timeless and classic material and style.

The roots of this band go back to when they won music competitions in Tokyo. They were formed in 1976 and lead guitarist Issei Noro (67 years young) continues to strive to express the founding spirit of Casiopea through his music.

The Wiltern - Venue Information

The Wiltern is located exactly at 3790 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90010. It is a historic and stunning Art Deco theater built in 1931, offering classic and majestic vibes for every show. The seating is split into two levels: Loge and Mezzanine, both featuring vintage red velvet covered seats. There are 5 levels of seating in total, with the ground floor being Standing Room Only for most shows. The venue can seat up to 1,850 people for seated events and hold up to 2,300 for standing room concerts. The venue offers concessions that include a variety of drinks, both alcoholic and non, as well as a variety of hot and cold food such as popcorn, chips, pizza, churros, nachos, burritos and pretzels. \

Parking Information

There is Wiltern Underground parking available for select shows, otherwise parking for the event is at the adjacent Ralphs parking structure located off of Oxford Street via the north entrance of The Wiltern. In addition to this venue's in-house parking, there are many other parking lots and structures in the area that are within a short walk and are also paid parking.
