CITY POP WAVES: CASIOPEA Special Live 2026

Casiopea performs their unique blend of four decades of music as part of their tour, CITY POP WAVES: CASIOPEA Special Live 2026. The legendary Japanese jazz fusion band will perform two nights of shows at The Wiltern this September.

This will be one of the only West Coast performances for the renowned Japanese band as they tour Japan and a handful of international cities. Fans will be able to experience some of their best jazz-funk hits as well as their CITY POP music from the past four decades. It's about to get wild!

About Casiopea

Legendary Japanese jazz-fusion group, CASIOPEA (formed in 1976 by guitarist Issei Noro and bassist Tetsuo Sakurai), who have reached the milestone of 4 decades as a group and performed over 1,700 live shows in 26 countries including U.S.A., Europe and South America, is coming to The Wiltern on Sunday, September 13, 2026 for their CITY POP WAVES: CASIOPEA Special Live 2026 showcase. Due to high demand, they added this second night at the famed LA venue.

The current members are the guitarist Issei Noro, the powerful new drummer Yoshiyori Imai joined in 2022, and the dynamic new keyboardist Jun Abe who joined in 2025. They will play songs from their latest album "True Blue" (2025) and "Right Now" (2024) which celebrated their 45th anniversary of the group's formation with contributions from all of the artists who have been a part of the group. CASIOPEA has made 37+ albums of jazz-fusion and city pop in 40+ years, and they are considered to be a true pioneer in the city pop scene.

The Wiltern - Venue Information

The Wiltern is one of LA's most renowned Art Deco venues and was originally opened in 1931. The live music space has a capacity for around 1,850 per show. The Main Floor is a Standing Room only venue perfect for a high energy show such as the incredible Jazz Fusion of Japanese legend Casiopea and their CITY POP WAVES: CASIOPEA Special Live 2016 show - allow for plenty of room to get up and dance the night away to the unique rhythms and melodies created by the band on stage. The Loge and Mezzanine Seating areas are seated and a perfect way to experience the music whilst being able to sit in comfort for the evening.
