Midnight Sun marks the singer's fifth studio LP, following last year's "Venus". The time has finally come - Midnight Sun drops in late September, and she just announced a huge world tour in support of the new album. This 2026, she's headed to North America with a string of shows across the U.S. Part of which is a special night in Los Angeles at The Wiltern.

In a feature by Rolling Stone, the singer shared that she scrapped as many as five albums between her 2017 and 2021 releases. Starting over and over, she shared how "Midnight Sun" took years in the making, reworking the track as it reminded her of home. 

"I’m like, ‘I like that title. I really want it. Because it just reminds me of home. And also I think the more I travel and the older I get, I wanna be reminded of home and my roots and a Swedish summer night," she told Rolling Stone.
