Well, now we can say that Say Anything was sincere when they said that the band is reuniting. The pop punk trio announced on this December that they will be touring this spring to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their sophomore album, 2004's "...Is a Real Boy." Coming straight after a "lengthy hiatus," fans have been reeling with excitement over this announcement.

“…Is a Real Boy is a manic masterpiece of rebellion against all expectations of emo and pop-punk – an album unafraid to be simultaneously theatrical and punk," the band wrote in a statement on Instagram. "Say Anything will be performing the entire album on their North American tour."

The album "...Is a Real Boy," which was released in August 2004. It featured an elongated wooden nose on the cover - which looks to be a reference to the beloved fairytale character Pinocchio. The album peaked at No. 8 on Billboard's Heatseekers albums chart and earned the band a Top 30 alternative hit with the single "...Alive With The Glory Of Love."

In 2000, singer-songwriter Max Bemis founded Say Anything. Mind you, he was still a high school student in Los Angeles at the time. The band's self-released EPs "Junior Varsity" and "Menorah/Majora" were followed in 2001 by the release of their debut album "Baseball."

Following the release of their eighth album, "Oliver Appropriate," in January 2019, Say Anything went on an indefinite break. They said they were retiring but… well, this new tour announcement speaks for itself. The band got back together in 2023 to play two festivals: When We Were Young and Riot Fest. They’ve also released two singles: “Carrie & Lowell & Cody (Pendent)” and “Psyche!”

They’re kicking off 2024’s anniversary tour on April 27, 2024, in Dallas. They’re making stops in cities like Atlanta, Boston, Seattle and Denver. Of course, let’s not forget about the stop in Los Angeles on the 22nd of June, 2024! The final show will happen in Austin, Texas, on June 28.
