Well well well Wiltern Weekend warriors (even though this it’s a Wednesday, true) - we’ve been waiting for this one for literally 10 years, so we KNOW y’all are ready to roll when the Ricky crew comes here on patrol. ‘Cause right here on Wednesday April 1st - we’re ALL becoming fools on the dance floor for the night when Ricky comes to the stage as part of his Montgomery Ricky 10 Year Anniversary Tour - and yeah folks, it feels like the perfect way to kick off spring. A full on celebration of the record that changed ALL our lives, and everything for Ricky as he pop star life evolved into what it is today. It’s been a hell of a journey and now we’re gonna see where it all unfolded from - so get ready for an intimate show, an electrifying experience, a place where lyrics become law and we’re all servants of the movement. When the concert is gone it’s gone y’all - hitting 20+ dates across the country, we need you to be here front and center when the party erupts for everyone in the middle of the crowd. 

SO - a little history lesson for all of y’all who don’t know. Montgomery Ricky dropped on April 1, 2016, back when Ricky was carving out his sound the classic DIY way - he is a self-taught guitarist, handwritten lyrics, and a way of looking at the world that was part fearless - and the other half emotionally pouring life’s highs and lows into his music. The album clocked in at about thirty-five minutes with ten tracks that range from heartfelt ballads to upbeat, hook-filled jams. Every song is a snapshot of Ricky’s early career, full of vulnerability, humor, and the kind of emotional honesty that makes you feel like he’s speaking directly to you. And what’s even funnier - at the time, the album didn’t hit the mainstream charts or dominate radio waves. It was a hidden gem for all us underground indie kids, quietly building a following among listeners who recognized the sincerity, craftsmanship, and melodic genius embedded in each track. Songs like “Mr. Loverman,” “Line Without a Hook,” and “We’re Not In Love” quickly became fan favorites, praised for their blend of raw emotion, catchy hooks, and storytelling that cuts deep without ever feeling forced. Critics in indie circles celebrated the album as a heartfelt, cohesive collection that introduced a fresh voice to the indie-pop landscape. YEARS LATER the album caught wind - and now, it’s a global inspiration for how to make it from point A(AKA obscurity) to B (AKA fame). And THAT’S why you need to be here for it folks.
