One of the hottest rising names in the indie pop scene is kicking off a new era in high anticipation of his third studio LP "Chasing the Chimera". Set for release in November 2025, the "Ode to a Conversation Stuck in Your Throat" star is set to pluck everyone's heartstrings all over again. As S. Holden Jaffe (the man behind the Del Water Gap moniker) lives out his new album, he looks forward to meeting all of his fans at the global headlining run.
With North American, UK, and European dates on the list, the New York-based indie hitmaker is all set to impress. Just as his previous shows have been, get ready for a night where you'll be singing along, vibing, and shedding a tear all-night long. For this night at The Wiltern, Hannah Jadagu will be opening as the show's special guest.
While he was in a boarding school in Millbrook, New York, Jaffe took on the name "Del Water Gap" as he found the name written on the back of a truck in Sharpie when he was 17, and thus he recorded music under the said name. Playing in various bands, he later on took Del Water Gap as a solo project and released his first EP in 2013. Though he amassed loads of attention in 2020, he's actually been on the radar for a couple years now.
"Ode to a Conversation Stuck in Your Throat" gained massive attention in July 2020 when Margaret Qualley and Kaitlyn Dever posted an IG video of themselves with the song at a "socially distant dance party" during the pandemic. By 2024, the track was certified gold by the RIAA with over 500,000 units in sales.
Since then, the musician continued releasing well-received tracks and collaborations with various artists, including Claud, Clairo, Arlo Parks, and more.
With Chasing the Chimera looming in, he's got a string of new singles that gave fans a tease of what to expect, through "Marigolds" and "Damn".
"I have met so many of you since my last headline tour two years ago. If you’re newer here — hi. I love you. Thank you for stopping by. I can’t wait to meet ya x." Jaffe wrote on social media as he announced the tour.
As fans itch to get their hands on the full record and as the man looks forward to meeting ya'll again, be sure to be right there at the celebration at The Wiltern by booking your tickets now!
