This sunny season, Mexico’s unprecedented pop powerhouse Aleks Syntek is making his way across the U.S.! The Latin pop superstar is bringing his highly-anticipated 3D Ecadas tour to celebrate his 30th year in the music business! It’s not every day that you see a Mexican superstar on U.S. shores! Aleks Syntek is one of Mexico’s most prominent personalities in the music world. Many know him as the pioneer of The Voice in his home country. But aside from being an esteemed judge in the reality competition series, Syntek has the tenure that made his position on the show a much-deserved gig. Syntek has ten studio albums at his helm – many have been certified gold and platinum due to impressive sales. Moreover, he has released several iconic hits that dominated the airwaves in Mexico and beyond.
His exemplary music has earned him numerous accolades, including three Latin Billboard Awards, a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Pop Album, nine Latin Grammy nominations, and five MTV Latin nominations. His music has been featured in various films and TV shows. Hi single, “Sexo, Pudor Y Lagrimas,” won the Prize from the Mexican Academy of Cinematography. Syntek has also composed and performed music adapted for Disney Latino and Sesame Street.
Syntek found his first big break in music when he formed a band with La Gente Normal. The group released their debut album Hey Tu! in 1990. Three years later, the band came out with their breakthrough album, Mas Fuerte De Lo Que Pensaba. The album, which was produced with Ray Manzarek, featured notable tracks, suchas “Cuando Estoy Contigo,” “El Camino,” and “Mas Fuerte de lo Que Pensaba.”
In 1999, Syntek released the soundtrack album Sexo Pudor Y Lagrimas. The record is certified double-platinum in Mexico. Two years later, Syntek pursued his solo career and released his debut album, De Noche en la Ciudad. The album was well-received in Mexico and sold over 70,000 copies, earning gold status. Three years later, Syntek dropped his sophomore effort, Mundo Lite, and made a breakthrough in the U.S. The album is certified platinum in both the U.S. and Mexico. After Syntek’s phenomenal breakthrough as a solo performer, he released several more highly-acclaimed albums, including his latest release, Anatomia del Amor.
