The Wiltern
A completely unexpected collision of musical worlds is coming to Los Angeles this Saturday, June 6, 2026 as The Hu and their special guests Apocalyptica will bring their Spring 2026 Tour to The Wiltern. The Hu are innovators in the realm of folk metal – a band from Mongolia that blends traditional Mongolian sounds with heavy metal to make music that’s both fresh and exciting. Apocalyptica is also at the forefront of cello metal – a genre they’ve been helping to pioneer since 1996.
Mongolian rock band The Hu, whose Hunnu Rock sound fuses throat singing and morin khuur with heavy metal, released their second album Rumble of Thunder in 2022 and released a new single titled The Real You in January 2026. The Hu will play some of their songs such as Wolf Totem and Yuve Yuve Yu.
Apocalyptica are a Finnish string quartet who are capable of playing at a very high level. In celebration of their 2024 release Plays Metallica Vol. 2, this set features arrangements of songs such as Nothing Else Matters and other metal hits.

Two of the most exciting heavy metal bands in the world will share the stage with special guest The Rasmus for every show on this vast North American tour. The HU are a Mongolian rock band who are credited as being one of the pioneering bands of the new genre of music called “Hunnu Rock” – a genre of music that fuses traditional Mongolian music, specifically the sounds of the morin khuur, with heavy metal music. At this event The HU will perform their greatest hits Wolf Totem, Yuve Yuve Yu and This Is Mongol and more in a completely new and unforgettable sound. Using their ancestral knowledge and connection with nature – specifically with horses – The HU’s fifth full length studio album Rumble of Thunder, released on 21 October 2022, again skillfully fuses together the past and the present, the traditional and the modern, and the east and the west. The band’s new single “The Real You” released in January 2026 foreshadows the band’s future works. Currently, the band is #1 on Billboard World Albums Chart and they have reached over 1 billion YouTube views.
Apocalyptica – one of the most well-known symphonic metal bands in the world. They are known for a very unusual way of creating music, simply by using only cellos. It is easy to say that they have created some of the greatest music in this genre, as songs such as Nothing Else Matters, I do not Care and Path all are performed with great orchestral and metal power. Their last album was Plays Metalica Vol. 2 (2024) – a tribute to the thrash metal band Metallica. Apocalyptica’s albums have been awarded with gold and platinum certificates on an international level, and therefore they are also multi-platinum award winners. This Finnish band was founded by being a Metallica tribute band playing Metallica’s songs on cellos, but they also create their own music and have also collaborated with many other prominent names in the metal music genre, including e.g. Corey Taylor and Dave Lombardo.
You know The Rasmus as a dark musical alternative rock. A band that creates everything from pop to heavy metal, with hits like “In the Shadows” and “No Fear”, “Livin’ in a World Without You” and many more. In the US they have sold over 3.5 million records and in Finland they have 8 gold and 5 platinum records. The band is named after the actual spelling of the name of the Dutch-French humanist and scholar Desiderius Erasmus, with a little spelling error. The band members knew each other from high school.
