Born in February 1990, Alemán is one of this generation's hottest rappers from Mexico. In a 2017 article by Noisey France that tackles Mexican rap, his collab with Yoga Fire, "Chapo Guzmán" was praised and later describd as "one of the best Spanish-language rappers." 

Inspired by 2Pac, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Notorious B.I.G., Cartel de Santa, Eminem, Muelas de Gallo, and more, his fiery passion for Latin trap and boom trap came rushing in. Inspired by his dad's fascination with hip hop, who was also a breakdancer, Alemán became drawn to making music of his own. Recently, the rapper just put out his huge hit, "Te Quería Ver" with Netón Vega. With infectious hooks and a signature rhythmic flow, it's a sure-fire hit that'll definitely shake up the stage.

Gera MX Rising Up

Of course, Gera MX is one of Mexico's top-leading names in Latin rap music. Gerardo Daniel Torres Montante was ranked among Rolling Stone's list of the "50 Greatest Rappers in the History of Spanish-Language Rap". Born in 1994 and began taking an interest in rap in fourth grade, he started improvising and making rhymes to impress his friends. Growing up listening to the likes of Molotov, Cartel de Santa, Control Machete, and Caballeros del Plan G, he decided to pursue rap. He released his debut LP "Caos en el paraíso" in 2011 and kept the fire going. 

In August 2021, his single "Botella Tras Botella" feat. Christian Nodal became the most-viewed music vdeo in the history of Mexican rap on YouTube. With a heated rivalry with Alemán on who gets to claim the leading spot in Mexican rap, the two decided to take it out on a joint album.
