Emerging in 1997, Dark Star Orchestra is a seven member tribute band from Chicago, Illinois. The band was founded with the love for Grateful Dead’s iconic music. The band has excellently performed music with great consistency and brilliant musicianship, earning them the reputation for delivering the most incredible Grateful Dead experience. The band has recreated a totla of 2,500 past concerts from The Dead, performing hits note for note and cut for cut. The band has been lauded by dead heads and members of Grateful Dead themsevles. Past shows from Dark Star Orchestra have featured sit-in performances from Grateful Dead’s Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Tom Constanten, and Vince Welnick.
