ABOUT MOONCHILD

The band emerged from Los Angeles, California in 2011. Members Amber Navran, Max Bryk, Andris Mattson came together with shared music interests in R&B, jazz, and soul, among others. The band came out with their debut album Be Free in 2012. The album received wide acclaim from industry peers and fans for their incredible execution and creativity. The album also paved the way for Moonchild securing phenomenal gigs, including opening for Stevie Wonder at the House Full of Toys Benefit Concert. In 2017, Moonchild’s third album Voyager entered the Billboard Heatseekers chart, peaking at number 13. Bandcamp also included the effort in their top 100 albums of 2017. Two years later, Moonchild soared to number 6 on the Billboard Heatseekers with their fourth album Little Ghost. That same year, the band also performed in unforgettable gigs, including NPR’s Tiny Desk and secured the award for Jazz FM Soul Act of the Year. By far the band’s most career defining work is 2022’s Starfruit. The album earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album.
