Around The World & Back 10 Year Anniversary Tour

It’s been three long years since we last saw the State Champs parading the streets of Los Angeles and the halls of The Wiltern. Well, not entirely true - they did just rock out the Warper Tour last summer, and they’ve been on this tour run all year long too - and so far so good. Hitting stops in Chicago Miami cruises Brooklyn and even Cleveland too - this stop at The Wiltern is the last stop they have on the ten show run exercise in remember whens. And even more fun - it’s the ten year anniversary of their legendary album Around The World And Back, and they’re taking the time to show us all the bops that made them the kings of the new school from the moment they touched the mic. So remember - this is Where We Belong.

So - who are the State Champs? Coming straight from the football field to the big stage, they got their start in Albany NY back in 2010 and quickly became one of pop-punk’s most dynamic voices of the decade. Their early release, The Finer Things (2013), broke into the U.S. Billboard 200 and peaked at No. 2 on the Heatseekers chart. They enjoyed success and touring non stop as they picked up steam, and a few years later, their sophomore effort Around the World and Back (2015) climbed to No. 30 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 3 on both the Alternative and Top Rock charts. Along the way, the band collected accolades and awards to put them in the limelight — nominated for Album of the Year and Song of the Year at the 2016 Alternative Press Music Awards, with “Losing Myself” winning Music Video of the Year in 2017. With five full-length projects to date and a reputation for electric live shows, State Champs have matured while staying rooted in their pop-punk core — evolving from basement tour nights to worldwide stages and securing their place as one of the genre’s most consistent and beloved acts. And then when they did The Warped Tour last year here in L.A. - everyone started looking for the group again, and this is the beginning of their second wave - welcome to the party.
