It’s here, and we’re so ready for it. Us here at The Wiltern are SO ready to welcome The Dead South to the stage this October 10th for a continuation of their dominating run throughout the world - and hitting us for an electric, genre-bending night this fall. As part of their 2025 Chains & Stakes World Tour, the band will bring their rowdy, high-energy live show to Los Angeles for a one-night stop on a trek that’s taken them to stages around the world - Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand, and of course - right here in L.A. With LA\ set to be the most eclectic crowds they’ll have on this tour run, The Wiltern show holds some massive weight. It’s a stage they’ve outgrown and returned to at just the right moment — ready to blow the roof off with harmony-heavy singalongs, double-time instrumentals, and the kind of chemistry that’s only possible after years together on the road.
Hailing from Regina, Saskatchewan, The Dead South are your everyday unorthodox bluegrass band of brothers who have causally redefined what the modern aura of bluegrass can look and feel like. Equal parts gritty, cinematic, and relentlessly fun, the band — made up of Nate Hilts, Scott Pringle, Colton Crawford, and Danny Kenyon —combines the storytelling charm of Appalachian tradition with the raw punch of punk and rock. Whether it’s a banjo-driven murder ballad or a stomping cello-fueled anthem, their sound is uniquely theirs, and this tour proves just how far they’ve come. The Chains & Stakes album was released back in 2024, and marks a change in direction for the band Recorded in Mexico City and produced by Grammy-winner Jimmy Nutt, it’s a record that deals with luck, loyalty, and the dark side of desire. Critics agree - it's their most mature, fully-realized work yet. This tour is a celebration of everything that’s brought them here — the viral videos, the global fan base (a.k.a. "The Good Company"), the sold-out shows across continents—and a promise of what’s still to come.
On October 10th - we get our moment, Los Angeles! Get your cowboy boots ready - we’ll see you at The Wiltern for a night of grit, grace, and some damn good string music. Don’t sleep on this one, family!
