The Wiltern
Se So Neon is taking their talents to North America in 2025. Korean music has exploded all over the world, helped by TV series, and the renaissance of the boy band. This duo, though, offers a different kind of music compared to the usual dream pop vibes Korean bands are known for. Se So Neon's indie rock sounds are going to be taking over The Wiltern in LA on Saturday, September 27th.
The obvious distance between Korea and the US makes it hard for fans to be able to catch these performers live on a regular basis. If you're a fan of Se So Neon's indie rock vibes, then this is a show that you can't afford to miss. There's no telling how long it's going to be before they make their way stateside again. Also, they keep losing members left and right! Maybe Hwang So-yoon will come back as a solo act the next time around. The tour is actually rather extensive, covering 17 cities in just about a month! It's going to literally be a marathon, not a sprint, for Se So Neon, who are going to be stepping on stage across the continent pretty much every other day with some back-to-backs. This stop in LA is going to be the second-to-last one on their original run. There's always a chance that they're going to extend their US stay, but you never know. You actually have a chance to catch the duo in Santa Ana and San Diego if you want to. Let's get real, though, those venues, while good, don't have the vibe and that "Hollywood" feel you get at the Wiltern. Performers really treat The Wiltern as their intro to Hollywood and go all out on their shows here. That's especially the case when it's their first time around.
Fans of the band have probably noticed at this point that it's turning into a solo show with Hwang So-yoon front and center. That's not a bad thing at all! She was the heart and soul of the project to begin with, anyway. What you can expect when she steps foot at the Wiltern is a night filled with soft chill beats. "NAN CHUN" and "Winter" are probably the two tracks people expect to hear the most. You might be in the crowd, having no clue what the words say, but still being able to feel the vibe while you just chill out! That's the power of music for you. Se So Neon certainly has plenty of that magic.
Regardless of the type of ticket that you've got, you always want to arrive early at The Wiltern to find parking and go through security while still having a chance to find a good spot. That's especially true on a night like this when the seating on the bottom floors will be removed to create a massive standing room area near the stage. You know that these "places" have to be claimed, and the people who get here first will have dibs on them.
