Rapper and music producer Kevin Gates has been creating and performing music since 2007 but it wasn’t until 2013 that he made his incredible breakthrough. He released tenth mixtape and major label debut Stranger Than Fiction. The record, released through Atlantic, charted in the Billboard 200 and soared to number 11 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums. Over in the Top Rap charts, the album landed at a cool number 7. Since signing with Atlantic, his music was able to reach a wider audience helping him garner a massive following. In 2016, upon releasing his debut album Islah, Gates topped the US Rap charts and peaked at number 2 on both the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-hop album charts.
